Tasting - Protocolo Vina de la Tierra de Castilla

Name: Protocolo Vina de la Tierra de Castilla
Variety: White Wine
Country: Spain
Region: Villarta - Cuenca
Year: 2012
Price: $6.95

Winery Review: Subtle aromas of mint, lemon and orange, with a hint of honeysuckle. Dry, understated and focused, offering clean citrus and melon flavors and slow-building sweetness. Finishes dry and brisk, with an echo of lemon. As usual, this is an outstanding value.

My Review: This wine had hints of citrus on the nose with some other sweetness that I couldn't identify as well. The taste was pretty mild at first but then grew and became more full bodied. It was also not as sweet as I expected from the nose which surprised me. It also had a somewhat bitter finish.
