Tasting - Maipe Malbec

Name: Maipe
Variety: Malbec
Region: Mendoza
Country: Argentina
Price: $8.95

Winery Review: Deep purple color with violet tints, complex plum, fig, strawberry, spices and floral aromas; rounded and velvety tannins, excellent length with a distinguished character. Excellent when paired with game, roasted red meats, pasta or pizza.

My Review: This wine had a light smell as well, with barely anything on the nose. Maybe my nose wasn't really working this tasting but I couldn't smell things in any of the wines! The wine was dry but the dryness didn't last long. I tasted some plum and I didn't really like the finish of the wine, which was a little sour with a taste of some spices I couldn't name.
